History

London School of Economics Russian Society has been an extremely active member of the university's Student Union for almost 10 years. During these years, the society has gained a reputation of one of the most reliable, active and creative societies in the whole of the university. Being opened and friendly, Russian LSE did always coordinate with other societies both inside and outside of LSE and provided the most help it could to assist growth and success of many of its friends.

The major asset Russian LSE has is its current and former members. This tradition has dominated the heart of the society for all 10 years, which makes Russian LSE notably unique. Former members are invited to all events organized. These events range from lectures and recruitment events to parties and trips

• TV nights, where society members could watch the latest and much wanted Russian movies at the time such as "The 9th Company" and "Night Watch"...

Russian LSE has got a growing database of its former members, which is used to keep in touch and inform the former members of the life at Russian LSE. These people frequently visit organized and private events hosted by Russian LSE members bringing the best thing there can be brought - the warmth of old and new friends.

Russian LSE is also different from many other Student Organizations in terms of relationship with its partners. The word 'partner' itself is meant to emphasize a two-way relationship. Hence, all current and past committees heavily prioritize the society's benefits and interests over private and financial benefits of a traditional relationship between Universities' Societies and their sponsors.
